Central
Tibetans live in the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) of China.
Historically, they have been isolated from the outside world due to the
geographic terrain and restrictions upon the travel of foreigners in
this land. Of the 740,000 Central Tibetans, few have ever heard the
gospel of Jesus Christ. Lhasa continues to be a spiritual center of the
Tibetan Buddhist world. The recent opening of the railway into the TAR
will open the door for and even greater flow of Tibetans, Chinese, and
foreigners traveling this land.
Pray that God will use the
railroad that has opened as a means by which His
people will be able to travel into the TAR to
share the gospel.
Pray that Central Tibetans
will have courage to seek their Creator.
"Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am
with you always, to the very end of the age." --Matthew 28: 19,20 NIV
