Bill and Karen Salisbury - Reaching Children for Christ
Bill graduated from Northeastern Bible Institute and joined the staff of Children's Bible Fellowship. After five years, he became the Director of Evangelism. However, he felt he could best be used by the Lord in traveling for children's evangelistic meetings, and the Salisburys formed Children's Gospel Crusade. Karen came to know Christ while attending camp in Pennsylvania at age 10. In high school, she worked with Children's Bible Fellowship in their camp program. Following High School she attended Columbia Bible College. Following college she went back into children's ministries where she met Bill, and they were married. Bill and Karen are currently engaged in a unique ministry of children's evangelism involving ventriloquism, color slides, puppets, Bible studies, and other means and materials to reach boys and girls for Christ. They are affectionately known as "Uncle Bill" and "Aunt Karen" to the children. "People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them." Mark 10:13-16
