Bill and Kathy Gwyer - Venezuela

Bill grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and attended church only for the music. However, once in the Navy, stationed in the Philippines, he accepted Christ during a Thanksgiving service.

Kathy, whose parents were missionaries, graduated from Bob Jones University with her degree in elementary education and taught school in Illinois, where she met Bill. After teaching three years in Brazil, Kathy returned to the States where she and Bill were married.

After, Bill graduated from Florida State University, they entered a missionary training program. Upon completion they began their missionary career. They have since served in Brazil and Mexico, but because of immigration difficulties, they left Mexico. They served for many years in Venezuela but because of political unrest they have relocated to New Tribes Headquarters in Sanford, Florida where Bill serves as distribution manager and Kathy serves in the finance office.

They have served for 26 years in missionary service.
