Read Me First!

Well, I am excited that you are interested in going on one of our short-term trips! There is a lot to get done as you consider or prepare or go on a trip and I want to help you through that process.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Global Ministries Office either by phone (727-381-3642 ext. 237) or by email (jbyrd2@tampabay.rr.com) by letter (Northside Baptist Church, Attn: Global Ministries, 6000 38th Avenue N., St. Petersburg, FL 33710), or by dropping by to see us.

I look forward to hearing from you and the possibility of seeing you go on a trip with Northside to minister to people around the world.

First Steps:

1)  Pray -- begin to pray about whether God would have you to go on a trip -- pray for the people that you would go to minister to; pray for God's provision for the trip and His protection on the trip; pray for your team and your team members.

2)  Check-out -- look at the trips planned for this year under "ST Opportunities" or contact our Global Ministries Office (see above) for details.

3)  Read -- read the "Global Ministries Policy Manual -- Short Term Missions" that is found on the Short-Term Documents page of our website

4)  Contact -- contact our Global Ministries Office (see above) and let us know who you are, what trip you are interested in, and the best way for us to contact you.

5)  Passport -- get one if you do not have one. The applications can be found at "Passports." The cost is your responsibility.

6)  Paperwork -- start to fill in the paperwork we need for you to be a part of a short-term team. You can work on the paperwork in three steps:

     a.  Initial documents (complete immediately and submit together)

          1.  Short Term Missions Contract (with $200 deposit)

          2.  Application for Short Term Missions Trip
